Aerindur Treeborn Background Info
Aerindur Treeborn hails from the City of Greengold in the Elvish Kingdom of Kyonin. From Wikia:

The city of Greengold is the second largest settlement in Kyonin, and the only official entry point into the elvish kingdom for non-elves. Situated next to Lake Encarthan, Greengold is a popular port of call for traders and diplomats. As part of a bold experiment of controlled integration, Queen Telandia Edasseril authorized the establishment of Greengold in order to observe and understand the behavior of outside races. While some elves dislike the intrusion of outsiders into their homeland and the the progressive nature of the venture, none can deny that the experiment has proven to be most profitable, as it is the only place in which elven magical supplies are available to the outside world. As part of the experiment, the town was given a degree of autonomy by placing Selwyn Vanaidorl, a human, as mayor, although his actions are strictly monitored by elvish nobles. Generally, the laws of Greengold are comparable to that of most human settlements with some elvish variations. Slavery is tolerated, but the buying and selling of slaves is not. The trees inside the town are strictly protected by law, as is the forest itself. Warships, most notably from Razmiran, are refused entry into the town, but peaceful vessels are welcome to dock at Greengold. Most importantly, the town is the limit for outsiders into Kyonin, and the elves do not take kindly to trespassers who leave the town limits. Foreign diplomats are free to plead their case for entry however.


Aerindur was born to a minor noble family who hails from a small town on the outskirts of the capital city of Ladara. Early on his father taught him the ways of Elven Magic and in particular the ways of the Magus. After he finished his apprenticeship, he grew restless and desired a change of scenery in order to learn more about the world around him than he could discover at the Estate where he grew up and the nearby capital city where he had spent some time. Since he was the youngest of three sons and had no official titles or duties for his father's domains, his father instructed him to travel to the city of Greengold to aid his Kingdom by helping the Elves keep an eye on the humans there in order to earn fame, fortune, and to make a name for himself. When he arrived in the city he worked for the the Elves for a time who were in charge of a bold experiment of controlled integration which Queen Telandia Edasseril had authorized some time ago before the thriving trading port city was built. She originally established the city of Greengold in order to observe and understand the behavior of outside races. This naturally piqued his curiosity - after having learned the ways of humans for a time there, he had a desire to learn more of the outside peoples and their lands since he met and saw all manner of people and intriguing things in the bustling trading port. When he told his commander that he desired to learn more of the humans and other outside races and the lands beyond Kyonin he was sent on a mission to the northern fringes and the frontier of Lastwall south of the Hold of Belkzen to report back on the threat posed by the orcs to their neighbors in Lastwall across the lake.

He was to regularly report back to his masters in Greengold on the situation there via messengers. While Kyonin is surrounded by buffer countries between it and the Hold, not all of those countries are on good terms with the Elvish Kingdom aside from Lastwall, and there is currently a state of war with Razmiran to the north though it is a frozen conflict for the most part at this point. The Elves are primarily concerned about the defenses in Lastwall since should the crusaders there fall, the Orcish tribes would merely have to cross the lake to reach Kyonin, not to mention the potential threat from the Whispering Tyrant, Tar-Baphon if those who guard him should fall. So Aerindur boarded a sturdy trading vessel and set forth across the lake to Lastwall on a voyage of discovery. Upon his arrival in the capital city of Vigil, he consulted with the Elvish consulate there and they instructed him to travel to the fortified town of Trunau on the frontier with the Hold of Belkzen in order to discover the true state of affairs in the orc lands to their north and to report back to the consulate on his findings. So Aerindur joined up with a trading caravan and after a brief journey arrived in the fortress town. Once he arrived there he met and befriended an intriguing human sorcerer by the name of Fade and the rest is history...

Cul Thousand Bones



Cul Thousand Bones was born into the Sklar-Quah (The Sun Clan) in the Cinderlands near the Wyvern Mountains. By far the most xenophobic of the Shaonti clans, the fierce members of the Sklar-Quah are almost constantly at war. Whether they fend off the orcs from Belkzen or the Chelish invaders of the south, the Sun Clan has learned to use the heat and fire of the Cinderlands as much as a weapon as it is a hardship for themselves.

Here as a boy he was raised to hate all outsiders even other Shoanti tribes, and to wield the Earth Breaker hammer by the age of 8, and learn what it is like to be forged into a warrior by the heat and fire of the Cinderlands. At the age of 12 he participated in a raid upon merchants travelling to Kaer Maga, the city on the cliff, but the raid went horribly wrong. The caravan was only guarded by 2 mercenaries and a single Aristocrat, a soft foolish city dweller. The mercs died quickly and the Aristocrat was captured without much of a fight and was going to be sacrificed to the fire spirits. As they opened the wagon they saw it was empty and faster than he could imagine Cul saw the soft Aristocrat snap the neck of the nearest Shoanti raider and quickly and efficiently slaughter the other 10 raiders and yet left Cul alive. After the fight the deadly city dweller only laughed and kicked at the dead bodies. He took Cul prisoner and led him back to his home in Korvosa. There he tried to civilize the boy barbarian but eventually gave up. Cul tried to escape many times during his 5 years as a captive but his master Lord Morvius always found him and brought him back, Culís body showing the scars of his masterís displeasure. Morviusís wife Sonya always treated the boy like her own child and did her best to direct his savage nature. She told him of stories of faraway lands that she travelled to in her youth where her father fought of hordes of orcs and giants, The Hold of Belkzen. She was born in the town of Trunau and had willingly left with Morvius seeking a better life but not realizing after she had gone that she loved the life she left. She talked of it so much that Cul almost thought of it as home and vowed to go there someday to see this ďgreat cityĒ.

One hot summer night he heard shouting between the Lord and Sonya (nothing new to Culís ear) and his foster motherís screams were more urgent and frantic than ever before. In a fit of rage he grabbed the Lordís favorite boar spear and ran to their bedroom to see the Lord beating Sonya. Cul raised the spear over his heard not noticing the red glow coming from the spear tip and drove the glowing spear into his master. The ease at which the spear pierced the Lord and exploded out his chest was unexpected to Cul and he couldnít control his momentum and stabbed Sonya in the chest by accident. Thinking he had killed them both he fled the city and headed home to the Cinderlands. He had been hearing the call of the land and remembered that only a select few heard this call and they became powerful shaman of the clan. After months of travel he finally reached his clan only to be turned away claiming that he had become a city dweller or worse had fled the field of battle in cowardice. Either way he was cast out with no family, no clan, no hope. Then in a vision he saw a massive red tiger leading him to a city besieged by humanoids but the people were strong and proud like his clan and he realized this was Trunau, his foster motherís home. In an attempt to appease his motherís spirit, and possibly his own, he travelled to the city hoping to find a new path and people to follow. That was 12 years ago.

Is it just me or does the Kingdom of Lastwall sound an awful lot like the Night's Watch and the black keep in game of thrones? lol

Hello Jeff, please update the Hero Labs file for Aerindur from the Shattered Star game for 4th Level for the Giantslayer game as follows (some changes were made when we ditched shattered star for Giantslayer mostly to skills):

1. Current Hit Points 35 (high average 5 +1 for favorite class +1 for CON +1 for Toughness Feat at 4th level)

2. Drop Robot Slayer starting trait from Shattered Star for Giantslayer's Vexing Defender starting trait (makes acrobatics a class skill and adds +4 to acro to move through giant type opponents)

3. Add feat Exotic Weapon Proficiency Katana - ditch Scimitar for +1 Katana

4. Add +1 Mithral chain shirt

5. Add Mithral Buckler (since there is no armor check penalty he can use this without the to hit penalty though he isn't proficient with it)

6. Add Pearl of Power (Tony said it was one of the good ones and was worth 1500 g.p. but that doesn't jive with d20pfsrd site - it's either 1,000 or 4,000 so I'm not sure what I've got at the moment).

7. Add Belt of Tumbling - adds +4 to acro to move past opponents with no AOO.

8. Add +2 Cloak of Resistance

9. Add Amulet of Natural Armor +1

10. Add wand of Shield with 50 charges and Spring Loaded Wrist Sheath, and Wand of Cause Moderate Wounds with 7 charges

11. Add MW Composite Mighty Strength bow +3 strength and 20 arrows, ditch Shortbow

12. I'll keep track of consumables, potions, scrolls, etc. since they are constantly changing.

13. Spells - I'll keep track of current spells in spell book but his currently memorized spells are:
0 level - Arcane Mark, Detect Magic, Disrupt Undead, and Open/Close
1st Level - Burning Hands, Shocking Grasp X2, and Magic Missile.
2nd Level - Mirror Image, Scorching Ray

14. Magus Arcana at 3rd level: Wand Wielder

15. Spell Recall at 4th level

16. Skills (note some of these changed from the Iron Gods version of this guy specifically acrobatics but a few others as well):
Acrobatics 4 ranks
Climb 1 rank
Knowledge Arcana 1 rank
Knowledge Dungeoneering 1 rank
Perception 4 ranks
Spellcraft 4 ranks
Swim 1 rank
Use Magic Device 4 ranks
(20 total ranks - 5 per level for Int bonus and Magus skills)

Please update Aerindur for 5th Level as follows:
Hit Points: 35 +8 (5 high average, +1 CON, +1 Favorite Class, +1 Toughness) = 43
Feat Extra Arcana Spell Blending for False Life (he adds this spell to his spellbook with this Magus Arcana)

He also gets to add an ability to his weapon at 5th level - hello Keen Katana for one Magus Arcana point since it's already a +1 weapon! Twisted Evil Cool (so a 1 in 4 chance of getting a crit with Shocking Grasp and Spellstrike for 10d6 +2d8 +8 damage or 20-84 hits!) Cool Twisted Evil
